Trip to Toronto

A few weeks ago, my friend Joe and I went to Toronto for the day. It was a fun time. We walked around and saw some sights. We went up in the CN tower, which is the tallest building in the world. We could see inside the Sky Dome, where the Blue Jays were playing the NY Yankees. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe on Younge St. And, we saw some interesting things and people. It was a very nice, clean, safe place. I wouldn't mind visiting again someday.

Jun's Last Day

Last month, our good friend/labmate Jun left us to go back to China. It was so nice to have her in the lab. It was a sad day when she left. We miss her so much. Here are some pictures of her last day with us...

My First Day of Teaching

I began teaching in September. I am an instructor for Organic Chemistry Lab. I really like teaching, and I think my students really like me as their instructor. The only downfall of teaching is the time it takes. This semester is busy with 2 classes, lots of research, and all of my teaching duties. However, I will be done with classes after this semester!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend 2005

Last weekend I went home to celebrate the holiday weekend and spend time with family, friends, and loved ones. The weekend was wonderful! I first went to UPJ to hang out a little, then ate at Chili's. Saturday, Ryan and I went fishing then back up to Johnstown for dinner with Allen, Rubert, Brian, and Hayden. Sunday, I went to church, hung out with the family, learned to drive a stick shift, then went to Ryan's. Then Monday, we had our annual labor day picnic at my house. It was nice to see the extended family again. How good it is to get home!
